Slow-cooker Christmas Chili

Ingredients

3 lbs Boneless beef round steak, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 Large onion, chopped
2 Stalks celery, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
2 Cans (14 1/2 ozs each)
Diced tomatoes, undrained
1 Can (15 ozs) Tomato sauce
3 t Chili powder
2 t Ground cumin
1/2 t Dried oregano
1/4 t Ground cinnamon
1 Medium green pepper, cut into 1 inch pieces

Directions

Mix all ingredients except bell pepper in slow cooker.



Cover and cook on low heat setting for 6 to 7 hours or until beef and vegetables are tender.



Stir in bell pepper. Cook uncovered on high heat setting about 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.

If you like chili with kick stir in cayenne pepper to taste with the cinnamon.



Add some zip to your serving bowls by brushing the edges of the bowls with melted butter then sprinkling with chili powder.
