Rosted Almonds in Chile Oil

Ingredients

1/2 C Extra virgin olive oil
1/2 lb Raw whole almonds, with skin

1 Fresh red chile, split
1/2 t Salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 375F degrees.



Heat the oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium flame for a couple of minutes.



Add the chile and allow it to infuse the oil for 1 minutes.



Add the almonds and cook and stir for 2 minutes until the almonds are completely coated in the oil.



Put the pan with almonds in the oven and roast for 15 minutes until the nuts are toasty and fragrant.



Remove almonds from the oil to a plate lined with paper towels and sprinkle with salt.
