Ingredients

1/2 C Shortening
1 T Heavy cream
1/2 C Brown sugar twin
1/2 C Splenda granular
1 Egg, beaten
1 C Almond flour

1 t Baking powder
1/4 t Salt
1 t Vanilla extract
1/2 C Walnuts, chopped
1 t Xanthan gum

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F degrees.



Grease and almond flour an 8 X 8 inch square pan.



Combine shortening and cream in large saucepan. Place over low heat until shortening melts. Remove from heat, add the brown sugar twin, splenda, and egg. Stir until well blended.



Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and xanthan gum. Stir into splenda mixture. Stir in vanilla and nuts.



Spread mixture evenly into prepared pan.



Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.



Cool and cut into squares.
