Snow Days Chowder

Ingredients

1 chicken bouillon cube
2 C boiling water
2 C diced turnips
1/2 C diced red bell pepper
1/2 C sliced celery
1/4 C onion
1 1/2 t salt

1/4 t pepper
1/4 C Butter
1 1/2 t Xanthan gum
2 C Heavy cream
3 C shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 C diced cooked chicken

Directions

Dissolve bouillon cube in water; add vegetables & seasonings. Cover; simmer 10 minutes. Do not drain.



Make white sauce with butter, and heavy cream. Add xanthan gum a little at a time until desired consistency has been reached.



Add cheese; stir until melted.



Add chicken & undrained vegetables. Heat; do not boil.
