Amarillo Cheese Mock Fries and Dip

Ingredients

1 C Ranch salad dressing
1 (1.25 oz) package taco seasoning
2 lbs Turnips, peeled and cut into fry shape

8 Strips cooked bacon - crumbled
1/2 C Shredded cheddar
1/2 C Shredded Monterey Jack

Directions

Preheat oven to 375F degrees.



Place turnip fries on baking sheet.



Sprinkle turnips with a little of the bacon drippings and 1/2 of the taco seasoning package, bake until crispy outside and soft inside and almost golden brown.



Combine ranch dressing and 1/2 of the package of taco seasoning; set aside.



Sprinkle cheese and bacon over turnip fries on baking sheet.



Return to hot oven until cheese is melted.



Serve turnip fries with prepared sauce for dipping.
