Small batch Bourbon Glazed Ham

Ingredients

6 lb Boneless fully cooked smoked ham half
1/3 C Brown sugar twin
1/3 C Bourbon whiskey, single barrel or better (for smoothness)

1 T Orange zest
1/8 t Ground cloves
1/4 Ground allspice
1/3 t Xanthan gum

Directions

On a rack in a roasting pan, roast ham, uncovered for about 20 minutes per pound or until a meat thermometer reads 140F degrees.



Before ham is done, simmer mixture of brown sugar twin, bourbon whiskey, orange zest, cloves, and allspice over medium low heat for about 15 minutes, add xanthan gum a little at a time until slightly thickened.



Brush glaze over the ham about 20 minutes before done.



Serve the ham garnished with curly endive and thinly sliced oranges.
