Holiday Broccoli

Ingredients

2 lbs Fresh broccoli spears
3 T BUtter
4 ozs Sliced mushrooms
1/2 t Salt

1 t Prepared mustard
1 C Chicken broth
1 C Shredded american cheese
1 t Xanthan gum
Paprika

Directions

Cook broccoli in boiling salted water just until tender.



Melt butter in saucepan, saute mushrooms until tender.



Stir in xanthan gum. Stir in salt and mustard. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly until smooth and thick.



Add cheese a little at a time stirring after each addition until melted.



Pour sauce over hot cooked, well drained broccoli. Sprinkle cheese with paprika.
