Sweet Creamed Crab Stew

Ingredients

1 lb Crab meat
3 T Butter
4 C 1/2 & 1/2

1/2 Pint Heavy whipping cream
Salt/white pepper to taste

Directions

Melt the butter in a saucepan.



Add the crab meat and simmer over low heat for a few minutes.



Add the 1/2 & 1/2 and stir most of the time until hot.



Add the cream and keep stirring. When hot, simmer for a few minutes, but do not boil. Cool. Cover and refrigerate 24 hours before serving to develop the full flavor of the crab.



Reheat, without boiling, and, just before serving, season to taste with salt and pepper.
