Ingredients

4 cups string beans, fresh
1/4 cup hazelnuts, toasted and chopped
1/4 cup blue cheese, crumbled

Directions

Bring about 2 cups water to a boil in a medium-sized saucepan. Add beans and cook, covered for about 7 minutes, until they are bright green. Remove from heat and drain.

Place beans in a serving dish and sprinkle with blue cheese and hazelnuts. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

Additional Information

This was served to me when I lived in Oregon. I never knew that I liked blue cheese until I had this dish. Now it is one of my favorite things (and legal).
