Barn Ribs

Ingredients

2 lb pork ribs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 c unsweetened apple sauce
1/2 cup sugar free maple syrup
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions

Place ribs in an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 30 minutes, drain fat from pan.

In a heavy saucepan, mix apple sauce, syrup, paprika, garlic powder and cinnamon. Over medium-high heat, bring the sauce to the boiling point and continue boiling for one to two minutes.

Brush prebaked ribs liberally with the sauce.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Turn ribs and bush underside with remaining sauce.

Continue baking for another 10 minutes.

Serves four.

I used boneless country ribs for this so it was easier and less messy to eat. Wow, you want to stop eating them long enough to figure out what the spices are but you can't. :)
