Ingredients

2 c low carb baking mix
1 c sour cream
8oz. creme cheese softened
1/3 c splenda
1 tsp grated orange peel
1 very thinly sliced pared apples

Directions

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Mix baking mix and sour cream until soft dough forms.

Turn dough onto cloth-covered board generously dusted with baking mix.

Gently roll in baking mix to coat; knead until smooth, about 20 times.

Roll into a square and cut into 3" squares (should make 12). Place these on an ungreased cookie sheet about 1/2" apart.

Mix cream cheese, splenda and orange peel. Arrange the apple slices on the dough. Depending on how thin you cut the apple this could be 1 or 2 slices each. Place a small spoonful of cream cheese mixture on the apple. Fold them over like turnovers, seal edges

Bake until crust is golden brown, 12 to 15 min.

Remove from cookie sheet. Serve warm.
