Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients

2 lbs raw mushrooms, cleaned with stems removed
1 8 oz. package cream cheese
1 5 oz. package bulk breakfast sausage

1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease baking dish (any type will do) with oil or cooking spray.



Saute sausage and onion until cooked through and crumbled.



Microwave cream cheese for 30-45 seconds to soften. Add remaining ingredients except mushrooms. Stir to combine thoroughly.



Spoon filling into mushroom caps, heaping slightly. Bake for 30 minutes.

Additional Information

This is a great bring along dish for potlucks. I take the mushrooms and the filling in two separate containers, assemble and bake when I'm there.
