Ingredients

2 Medium turnips

2 T Olive oil

1 1/2 t Salt

1/4 t Onion powder
1 t Paprika

1/2 Freshly ground pepper

1 T Soy flour

Chili powder, to taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Peel the turnips then cut them into short fries.

Place in a saucepan and cover with water.

Bring to a boil. Cover pan with lid, lower heat and simmer until tender, about 30 minutes.

Drain well and pat dry with paper towels.

Sprinkle with olive oil and carefully "toss" to coat the cooked turnips with the oil.

Mix together the remaining dry ingredients. Place cooked turnips in a plastic bag and sprinkle over the dry mixture; close the bag and carefully shake it all to cover the turnips with the spice coating.

Place on cookie sheet and bake until crispy, about 5 - 10 minutes.
