Turnip Gratin

Ingredients

1 Clove garlic

1 oz Butter

12 ozs Crisp turnips, peeled thickly, sliced thinley, parboil for 2 minutes and drain.

Salt and Pepper to taste


1 t Dried Fine',s herbs

2 ozs thinly sliced pancetta ham, cut into a fine julienne

1/4 Pint Heavy cream

Directions

Rub two small ramekin dishes well with garlic clove, let it dry. Butter generously.



Put the turnip slices in a saucepan, add the cream, herbs, ham, salt, and pepper. Simmer until very tender



Spoon the turnip mixture into the ready prepared ramekins and broil until lightly golden brown on top.
