Hash brown turnip ham quiche

Ingredients

3 cups shredded turnips

1/4 cup butter, melted, divided

1 cup shredded pepper-jack cheese

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

1 cup diced fully cooked ham

1/4 cup onion, chopped

4 eggs and 2 egg whites

1/2 cup Heavy cream

salt & pepper to taste

Directions

Boil turnips in salted water until crisp tender. Drain and let cool.



Shred turnips.



Press shredded turnips between paper towels to remove excess moisture.



Grease a 9-inch pie plate with 2 T. butter.



Press turnips onto the bottom and up the sides of pie plate. Drizzle with remaining melted butter. Bake, uncovered, at 425

Additional Information

This is wonderful for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner.



This can be sliced and frozen for individual meals.
