Ingredients
1 lb chicken or beef(sliced into small pieces)
1 Tbs grated ginger
4 tsp soy sauce
2 Tbs oil
1 medium onion minced
2 Tbs ginger minced
2 cloves garlic minced
1/8 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
4 TBS oyster sauce
salt - a pinch
2 tsp honey (or 2 tsp splenda)
Directions
Wash and dry the meat well. Cut into small pieces of 1 inch or less.
Mix ginger and soy sauce and marinate meat for 15 minutes.
Add 2 tablespoons of oil to a heated frying pan or wok. Add onion and let it cook stirring frequently for 5 minutes. Add ginger and garlic at the end so it doesn't burn.
Add pepper flakes and oyster sauce and stir.
Add meat and salt to taste.
When the meat is cooked, turn off the heat and add the honey and toss. Serve in lettuce leaves.
Additional Information
You can add almost anything to this. If you don't have oyster sauce substitute with a little more soy sauce and add a little olive oil. You can make this dish extra spicy by adding more pepper flakes. My family loves this served with bib lettuce leaves.
