Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Ingredients

2 t Splenda

1 1/2 t Onion powder

1 1/2 t Dried thyme, crushed

1 t Ground allspice

1 t Freshly ground black pepper
1/2 to 1 t ground red pepper

1/2 t Salt

1/4 t Ground nutmeg

1/8 t Ground cloves

3 lb Chicken, broiler-fryer, quartered or cut up

Directions

RUB:



Combine all ingredients except chicken in a small bowl.



CHICKEN:



Rinse chicken and pat dry. Sprinkle rub mixture evenly over chicken, rub in with your fingers.



Grill over medium grill. Place chicken bone side down on the grill rack over a drip pan. Cover and grill for 50 to 60 minutes or until chicken is tender and no longer pink.
