Mock Hot German Potatoe Salad

Ingredients

2 lbs Small turnips, peeled and sliced

1 Large green pepper, chopped finely

1/3 C Bacon drippings

1/4 C Cider vinegar

1 Large onion, chopped finely


1 t Salt

1/4 to 1/2 t Ground pepper

2 T Splenda granular, more to taste if desired

10 Slices crips bacon, crumbled

Directions

In medium pan cook turnips in boiling salted water, covered until tender. Drain



In a medium pan, heat bacon drippings, vinegar, salt, pepper, and splenda.



In large bowl, combine turnips, onions, peppers. Toss with dressing mix, top with bacon crumbles and combine well.
