Fiery Hot Country Style Ribs

Ingredients

4 lbs Country-stile pork ribs or beef short ribs

1 Small onion, chopped

1 Clove garlic, minced

1 T cooking oil

1 1/2 C Tomatoe sauce

1/3 C Vinegar

1/4 C SF Maple syrup

1 T Bottled hot pepper sauce

2 t Ground cayenne pepper

1 t Chili powder

1/2 t Salt

1/2 t Dry mustard

Directions

In a large saucepan or dutch oven cook ribs, covered, in enough boiling salted water to cover for 45 to 60 minutes or until ribs are tender, drain well.



SAUCE:



In amedium saucepan cook onion, and garlic in hot cooking oil until the onion is tender but not brown. Stir in tomatoe sauce, vinegar, syrup, hot pepper sauce, cayenne pepper, chili powder, salt and dry mustard. Bring the mixture to boiling, reduce heat and simemr, uncovered for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.



Gril ribs over slow coals for 45 minutes, turning every 5 minutes.



Brush with sauce frequently. If desired, heat any remaining sauce and serve with the ribs.
