Jillybeans Chili Beans

Ingredients

14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
(the brave can
use the jalapeno
added ones.)
8 oz. can of tomatoe sauce
14 oz. can of beef broth
14 oz. water
1.5 lbs. ground beef
1/2 of a yellow onion

1 TBS chili powder (more or
less to taste)
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp +/- salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp oregano

15 oz. can black soy beans

Directions

Brown ground beef and onions. Drain fat. Add spices and then remaining ingredients, EXCEPT BLACK SOY BEANS. (They are fragile and break down easily. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add beans last 10 minutes.

Additional Information

If going to poan on leftovers, only add beans you will use. Reserve some for adding to warmed chili next day.



Also freezes great without beans. Good for individual portion heat and eat meals.
