Ingredients

4 Thick pork chops

MARINADE:

1 1/2 C Fresh apple cider
2 T Splenda
2 T Soy sauce
2 T Lemon juice

2 Strips lemon zest
4 Fresh sage leaves, crushed
1 Apple, cored, finely chopped
2 Green onions, finely chopped
2 Cloves garlic, minced
2 t Fresh ginger, minced
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 T Unsalted butter
1 T Sesame oil

Directions

Trim excess fat off chops and make cut in rounded part of each chop (keeps chop from curling).

Arrange chops in baking dish just large enough to hold them.

Combine cider, splenda, soy sauce, lemon juice and zest, sage, apple, green onions, garlic, and ginger in mixing bowl and stir until splenda is dissolved.

Pour marinade over pork and marnate, covered for 6 to 8 hours in the refrigerator, turning chops once or twice.

Drain the pork chops from the marinade and blot dry.

Strain marinade into saucepan and boil until reduced by half.

Whisk in butter and correct the seasonings.

Brush the chops on both sides with sesame oil and grill until no longer pink.
