French Silk Chocolate Pie

Ingredients

MERINGUE PIE CRUST:

2 Egg whites
1/8 t Salt
1/8 t Cream of tartar
1/2 C Splenda granular
1/2 C Pecans, chopped
1 t Vanilla

FILLING:

1 Stick butter, softened
3/4 C Splenda granular
2 Squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 1/2 t Vanilla
2 Egg yolks
2 Whole eggs
1 C Heavy cream, whipped

Directions

CRUST:



Beat egg whites, salt, cream of tartar until foamy. Add splenda gradually and beat until stiff.



Fold in pecans and vanilla. Place in greased 9 inch pie plate, building up sides 1/2 inch.



Bake 1 hour at 300F degrees. Cool.



FILLING:



Cream butter and splenda.



Blend in chocolate and vanilla.



Add eggs and yolks, one at a time, beating 5 minutes between each one. DO NOT UNDERBEAT!



Pour into colled crust and refrigerate overnight.



Decorate with whipped cream and shaved low carb chocolate if desired.
